2022 Girls Win Victory Fall Classic!

The 2022 girls picked right up where they left off last summer... with a tournament championship! In the first tournament of the fall season, the 2022 girls traveled to Frederica, Delaware to compete in the Victory Fall Classic. Leading the team is returning head coach Nikki Prestiano a local standout from Yorktown HS. The 2022 bracket consisted of 9 teams from all different areas including Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.

With travel and early morning games the first game of the tournament is often the biggest obstacle. In a back-and-forth battle, the Tristate girls ended their first game in a tie. Unsatisfied with anything less than a victory, the 2022 girls rallied together and made sure they would not make the same mistake again. In their next two games, the 2022 girls won a nail biter against the Dutchess Monarchs 7-6 and then went on to win in a landslide 17-2 against the Crusaders which set them up for an appearance in the championship game.

In the final game, the 2022 team took on a very competative Belles Lacrosse Club who also finished 2-0-1 in regular pool play. Having being in this spot before, the girls knew a strong start was needed to push past the Belles team and take home the hardware. Coach Nikki gave the girls one of her famous pre-game speeches and challenged the team to be relentless. "We have a great group of girls that play so well together both on and off the field. We are an excellent team and when we put our heads down and grind, we compete at the highest level", said Coach. From the first whistle to the last, the 2022 girls played with incredible effort and were named tournament champions after a 9-3 victory.

Congrats to the 2022 girls!
