How old were you when you started playing lacrosse and what made you pick up a stick?

Relative to the rest of my friends back on Long Island, I got a late start in the game of lacrosse. I did not pick up a stick andstartplaying until 5th grade. I was at my friends hose, who I had just met at the time, and on a Saturday morning in the Spring he wasjustcoming home from a PAL game at our High School. His dad asked me if I had ever played before and until then, I was strictly a football guy. Fortunately for me, he put a stick in my hand and before you know it I was practicing every day, playing wall ball in my garage. I was able to go on and have a High School and College career that I will be eternally grateful for! The same kid who's dad taught me how to catch and throw wound up being my teammate for 4 years of Varsity Lacrosse, as well as my roommate and teammate at SUNY Oneonta for all 4 years!

What is your favorite lacrosse memory?

My favorite lacrosse memory comes from my Junior Year at SUNY Oneonta. For our annual spring break trip we stayed at the IMG Academy in Florida. During our time at IMG we ate professionaly prepared meals, trained in a state-of-the-art facility, and played on a grass field that could have been a fairway on the PGA Tour. While at the Academy, we played a nationally ranked Nazareth College team. The game wound up being a 4-quarter shootout, and in the final 3 minutes of the game we protected a 1 goal lead to preserve the victory. Winning such a tight game while on spring break in Florida was an incredible experience, and I hope all athletes get to experience something similar during their athletic career. Being the heavy underdog in a hard-fought win is almost indescribable!

What was your first stick?

Razor head, strung with a Rock-It pocket on a Titan Classic shaft. I wouldn't wish that stick combo on my worst enemy.
